I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
