In a surprising partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.
The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
